About

Michelle Lorduy-Levy is a Colombian-American artist. She attended the Cooper Union School of Art in New York City where she graduated with a BA in Fine Art.  Her creative work is influenced by western art history, Jungian dream analysis,  Catholicism, and indigenous folksongs found in the vibrant music of her family's region in northern Colombia.  The imagery of her childhood in the northern Caribbean coast shapes her visual language and prolific use of color.  Currently based in the US, Michelle enjoys meditating and exploring the great mountains and forests of the American West.
